Must also have any experience in the following i cellular and molecular biology, maintaining primary cell lines, isolation of human primary ventricular heart muscle cells and neonatal and adult mouse ventricular heart muscle cells, flow cytometry, RNA isolation, western blotting, protein purification, transfection and transduction; ii invivo techniques, including retroorbital injections in neonatal mice, and intraperitoneal and subcutaneous injections in mouse; iii histological techniques, including organ resection and tissue fixation, tissue processing, preservation and staining, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, imaging and quantification; iv maintaining mouse and rat colonies, planning and setting up animal breedings, ear tagging, and genotyping; v Confocal microscopy; vi Image J; and vii software skills, including MS office 2016, Adobe, and Endnote X4.br br Must also be willing and able to carry a pager at all times to obtain human heart tissue from the operating room and process it for single cell fluorescence activated cell sorting FACS, first strand cDNA synthesis, in vitro transcription and library preparation.br br TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.br br Note Because there is no experience required in H.6, the Kellogg language is not required.
