Specific Skills

Experience must include the following experience, skills, and abilities can be gained concurrently 8 years of nuclear industry experience; 5 years of management experience in a role that provided direct oversight and management of a technical staff; indepth knowledge and use of nuclear plant performance analysis tools to review new unit performance; knowledge of techniques for evaluating organizational effectiveness, including nuclear safety culture and essential outcomes; knowledge of integrated plant operation focusing mainly on protection of the reactor core; advanced knowledge of the peer review process and nuclear plants; advanced knowledge and business acumen with ability to identify cultural issues; advanced knowledge of domestic and international nuclear industry documents and processes; a working knowledge of important industry operating experience; advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Adobe Acrobat; experience coaching and developing people. Applicants must pass a background check; be able to achieve unescorted access to nuclear stations; be able to work in an industrial environment where there could be moderate discomfort due to extreme heat, dust or noise; be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl in small spaces; be able to use hands, arms, ears, and eyes to touch, carry, hear, see; be able to do extensive walking within and around the plant; be able to climb multiple flights of stairs, climb ladders, traverse scaffolding; have valid drivers license andor ability to make regular plant visits; and be able to lift 50 pounds. Up to 40 travel required, some of which is outside the United States.
