Prior to effective date of appointment, MD with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ohio; and completion of a 3year Internal Medicine Residency; and Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine as defined by completion of the aforementioned 3year Internal Medicine Residency; a valid DEA license for Schedule IIV, and all independent prescriptive authority therein; and a valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS certificate. THIS FULLTIME UC FACULTY APPOINTMENT ALSO REQUIRES THE INDIVIDUAL TO HOLD A PHYSICIAN APPOINTMENT WITH UC PHYSICIANS, THE AFFILIATED NONPROFIT PRACTICE GROUP OF UCS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE COM AND CORPORATE STRUCTURE FOR ITS FACULTY TO PROVIDE PATIENT CARE SERVICES PER COMS MISSION. THESE DUAL APPOINTMENTS ARE INSEPARABLY INTEGRATED INTO ONE POSITION, WITH NO DELINEATION OF HOURS WORKED NOR DIFFERENTIATION OF RESPONSIBILITIES BETWEEN THE TWO, AS THE INSTRUCTION OF MEDICAL STUDENTSRESIDENTS AND ACADEMIC RESEARCH REQUIRED OF BOTH IS DIRECTLY BASED ON CLINICAL CASES. FAILURE TO MAINTAIN EITHER APPOINTMENT RESULTS IN AUTOMATIC TERMINATION OF BOTH.
