2 years of experience in a comminution and grinding system application position in or supporting the cement or minerals industry. 2 years of experience with each of the following designing, planning, conducting, and analyzing laboratory tests for ball mills and high pressure grinding rolls in order to specify and size comminution and grinding systems; conducting scaleup studies of ball mills and high pressure grinding rolls in order to determine equipment size, operating parameters, final product fineness, and power requirements based on material characteristics; performing modeling and computer simulation of grinding equipment utilizing Population Balance Modeling and the Discrete Element Method to determine grinding equipment requirements; modeling and simulating crushing and grinding circuits utilizing two of the following MolyCop, MODSIM, or USIMPAC; either prefeasibility or feasibility studies of mining and mineral processing projects involving design and analysis of metallurgical and grindability tests, including metallurgical beneficiation processes and developing preliminary process designs. Experience can be acquired concurrently, and can be gained through a graduate research assistant position held in conjunction with university studies.br br This is a key process engineering position with thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions USA, Inc., responsible for all processing aspects of new and existing wet and dry grinding systems in the mining, minerals, and cement industries. Because this is a key and critical engineering position, requiring extensive knowledge of, and experience with, applicable concepts and issues, a Master Degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, Mining, or Mineral Processing Engineering, or foreign equivalent, as well as 2 years of experience in a comminution and grinding system application position in or supporting the cement or minerals industry, is required.
