Requires Bachelors degree in Engineering any field or related field of study and 8 years Claims and Field Engineering experience in commercial property insurance industry. Stated experience must include 5 years of experience in each of the following independently handling commercial property insurance losses up to 100 million; interpreting and applying insurance policies; performing loss mitigation, loss control and loss measurement; handling Claims in compliance with Model Unfair Practices Act; directing cause origin investigation including engaging experts to identify potential 3rd parties responsible for the loss; engaging and managing consultants to assess causation, scope of damage, critical path, salvage, analyzing client books and records as well as other consultants as needed; assessing the extent of direct physical damage to insured property, including evaluating repair or replace options and the impact on the time element loss; and handling multinational clients and losses outside the US different countries. Requires 5 years of experience supervising multiple adjusters, expert consultants and project managers.
