Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or foreign equivalent and 3 years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering field. Also requires experience in the following experience in Microsoft Office, Solidworks, Matlab, Minitab, or in other equivalent engineering software; experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Power Point; experience leading mechanical engineering projects; and experience in all activities for new product introduction from concept through production release specifically including direct communication with vendors on component design, measurement techniques, and data analysis; direct communication with external customers on requirement alignment and program updates; direct communication with product manufacturing teams on process development activities including establishing control plan requirements and incoming inspection criteria; writing Test Plans and defining test equipment needs; working with engineering technicians to execute test plans; performing failure analysis on product validation test failures; writing Test Reports and creating engineering drawings; working with program management to complete new product development deliverables including risk assessment, and risk mitigation plan; and coordinating design reviews with crossfunctional team.br br In lieu of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or foreign equivalent, and 3 years of experience, Sensata Technologies, Inc. will accept a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or foreign equivalent and 1 year of experience in the Mechanical Engineering field.
