Specific Skills

Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Packaging, Chemical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or with product packaging research and development. Must also have 2 years of experience in each of the following applying knowledge of packaging materials and packaging equipment in addressing challenges with existing packaging and developing new packaging material and technology solutions; developing packaging materials and systems or systems solutions for food products including both dry and retort pet foods; product packaging strategy within European and Latin American factories through analyzing regional market factors including conversion processes, material technologies, consumer behavior and retail environments; providing technical packaging support for products in European and Latin American markets including liaising with operators in factories across multiple countries; and, performing life cycle analyses on the environmental impact of new packaging materials. Experience may be gained concurrently. Must be able to travel approximately 20 of working time. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training andor experience which would qualify an applicant for this position.
