Specific Skills

Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering or a closely related field, from an institution of higher education accredited by one of the six U.S. regional accrediting associations, or foreign equivalent. ABD All but Dissertation candidates considered but Ph.D. must be awarded before August of 2018. Teaching and research expertise. Ability to work collaboratively on research and academic projects across disciplines with other faculty. Graduatelevel training in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields. Excellent writing skills. Ability to advise and work with diverse individuals and groups that include undergraduate students, faculty, university administrators, and the general public. Ability to be a public spokesperson for the program and the university. Capacity to acquire funding from external sources and publish in peerreviewed outlets in the field. Demonstrated ability to teach core computer engineering and computer science courses and upper level graduate courses in one or more areas of specialization. Prefer course development and curriculum development experience. Prefer postdoctoral experience.br br Wage under collective bargaining agreement is for ninemonth academic year 19.5 biweekly pay periods. Any salary augmentations, including summer contract extensions, paid as set out in collective bargaining agreement.
