Specific Skills

Qualified candidates must hold a Masters degree from an accredited GIS program or in a discipline with a significant GIS component, and must demonstrate two years of relevant experience. Experience must include the following elements 1 teachingdeveloping GIS instructional materials; 2 the use of GIS software; 3 creatingmanaging geospatial databases; and 4 good communication skills and project management experience. This is a PERM application for permanent employment certification for a university teacher. Pursuant to 20 CFR 656.18, the employer is permitted to consider preferred qualifications in addition to minimum requirements for the position to determine whether the alien is more qualified than U.S. applicants.
