SingleStore, Inc. SingleStore provides a cloudnative database that powers realtime analytics and applications at scale. This position is not an entrylevel position but a senior role, requiring extensive experience and engineering acumen to gather business and software development requirements by partnering closely with customers, translating these into software development specifications that meet customers requirements, and ensuring best practices for consistent and positive customer experience with optimal configuration and integration with SingleStores software, which role is an integral part of maintaining and growing our operations. She must have progressive experience and knowledge in Software requirements gathering and architecture design; RDBMS Relational Database Management System and SQL Structured Query Language, and Distributed systems to collaborate with Software Engineers on feature requests to communicate business needs effectively. She must also be skilled in Stored procedure development and Linux shell script development to develop systems, applications, and code for customer implementations of SingleStores platform. She must apply the same knowledge to develop scripts and code for SingleStores solution architecture for modern core data processing, as well as to build and deploy the nextgeneration enterprise data platforms that automate tasks, provisioningdeprovisioning, analytics, and instrumentation across thousands of nodes. She must use and apply knowledge in POC Proof of Concept for database management systems gained through professional experience to guide customers in SingleStore database and analytics usage, and expert querying in SQL Structured Query Language for various industries, including telecommunications, financial services, insurancehealth services, and technology. In addition to all of the above skills, she must draw upon experience and knowledge in Software requirements gathering and architecture design to develop artifacts that document the solution architecture and operations plan including metrics and runbook procedures. Without a theoretical background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related, gained through the completion of at least a bachelors degree, the applicant would not have the requisite foundational knowledge required of this position. This academic knowledge must be combined with a minimum of 60 months of experience in an occupation related to Software Development, as our Engineer must utilize such handson, realworld experience and knowledge of industry practices and use of operating systems, tools, and protocols, in order to perform the sophisticated duties of this position. In fact, each required skill is directly related to the duties to be performed. The applications, skills, and technologies used to perform the job are extremely complex and integral to the wellbeing of SingleStore. Therefore, we have determined that the job duties and minimum requirement of a bachelors degree and 60 months of experience bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation in the context of our business, and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner.
