The Department of Ethnic Studies seeks candidates to fill a position that requires teaching courses in ethnic studies, including graduate and undergraduate courses, mentoring students, actively participating in social sciences research, and participating in university service and outreach activities. The Department specifically seeks candidates with specialties in Black Feminist Studies, Black Queer Studies, Black Disability Studies, Sexual Diversity Studies or related field. We invite scholars whose work provides original ways of understandingbr intersectionality regarding theorizations of Blackness, interrogations of antiBlackness, Black social movements, social justice, and activism.br The applicant must demonstrate potential for excellence in research and scholarship in African American Studies; potential for excellence in teaching and advising; potential for excellence in service and outreach; and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
