NYSE NYCBs acquisition of Flagstar Bancorp, Inc. received regulatory approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to convert Flagstar Bank, FSB to a national bank to be known as Flagstar Bank, N.A. and to merge New York Community Bank NYCB into Flagstar Bank, N.A. NYCB is now a division of Flagstar Bank, N.A.br br The acquisition creates one of the largest regional banks in the country, operating 395 branches across a ninestate franchise, including strong footholds in the Northeast and Midwest and exposure to high growth markets in the Southwest and West Coast. Through the Flagstar Mortgage division, the Company will operate nationally through 81 retail home lending offices in 26 states and a wholesale network of approximately 3,000 thirtyparty mortgage originators.br br The acquisition does not change the location of the Banks inhouse IT Department which will remain at the Regional Branch Office in Troy, Michigan. The Banks CIO is also headquartered in Troy, Michigan. The Banks Federal Employer Identification Number FEIN also remains the same.br br EXPLANATION OF BUSINESS NECESSITY FOR POSITION REQUIREMENTSbr br Due to the technical nature of the services we provide and the myriad of regulatory requirements that our Bank must adhere to, Flagstar maintains its own inhouse IT department, which is responsible for designing software programs and maintaining our IT infrastructure specifically tailored to meet the needs of our Bank and to continually increase the efficiency of our services while protecting and maintaining the confidentiality of the financial and banking records of our customers.br br The position of Data Architect I is an essential position within our inhouse IT department. The role of the Data Architect I is to define data architecture specifications, standards, tools, models, and processes to meet the current and future data requirements of the Bank. This position also serves as an expert in the design and development of data related initiatives. Proper data architecture and design is critical in safeguarding our vast IT system and our ability to serve and protect the financial wellbeing of our customers.br br It is necessary that the individual holding the position of Data Architect I with our Bank meet the minimum academic and professional experience requirements as set forth above.
