Experience must include eighteen months of utilizing tax research tools, including CCH and BNA, to research complex tax issues relating to tax law changes, regulations, or tax cases; utilizing tax preparation software, including Corptax, GoSystem, ONESOURCE, and SuperForm, to prepare and review corporate and partnership state tax returns; preparing or reviewing estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings for passthrough entities or corporations; preparing state income and franchise tax returns for corporations and partnerships based on varying state regulations for the apportionment of income and nexus creating activities; mediating between clients and state revenue departments to resolve state assessments, notices, and audits; directing client contacts to gather information, updates on potential liabilities and outcomes of tax assessments; conducting research and tracking new guidelines and regulations on tax developments in various states; mentoring and coaching junior team members; and applying federal, state, and local tax rules to corporate clients. Less than 10 travel outside of normal commuting distance.
