Specific Skills

Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree plus 2 years of related experience is required, or in the alternative, Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree plus 4 years of related experience. Must have successfully passed the PE Exam. Must have professional experience with dam safety design, mine tailing, geotesting, and rock soil testing. Must have experience conducting and managing field explorations, observing and providing quality assurance, and preparing geotechinical exploration reports to support engineering design of mine related facilities. Position requires previous work experience in soil mechanics, foundation systems, analyses of dam embankments, surface mining, and ground improvement. Requires experience with developing design sketches and calculations using geotechnical analyses software including SLIDE, Settle 3, SLOPEW, SEEPW, SIGMAW, MathCAD, and GStabl. Requires foundation design expertise including bearing capacity evaluation, settlement and analyses of pile foundations using APILE and LPILE. Position may require up to 25 field work. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English. All applicants must be able to complete preemployment onboarding requirements if selected which may include anyall of the following criminalcivil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
