Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering or designrelated industry. In lieu of a Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering or designrelated industry. All stated experience must include the following developing technical or integrated products with work in at least one of the following areas design for manufacturing, product design, precisions mechanical systems, or the practical arts; solving problems in at least 3 of the following mechatronics, structural design, dynamics, thermal engineering, fluid dynamics, optics, controls, acoustics, manufacturing, or product engineering; CAD systems such as SolidWorks or similar; utilizing analytical methods and tools such as hand calculations, spreadsheet analysis, MathCAD, Python, VBA, Matlab, or LabView; and presenting technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Experience may be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, andor experience which would qualify an applicant for this position.
