Cont. from H.11 coordinate design process from concept design through construction with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection MEPFP, civil, structural, lighting, AV, telecom, food servicekitchen, sustainability, and landscape consultants to incorporate building systems into architectural designs to produce construction documentation and secure client and regulatory approval; apply architectural principles to review all related shop drawings, samples, mockups, and cut sheets on materials equipment; assist in negotiating additions to the ownerarchitect agreement, evaluate and manage general contractor bids, estimates, and contract budgets, coordinating with project architects, project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors to respond to requests for information RFIs, submittals, clarifications, and modifications; review of structural construction for architectural coordination, HVAC system layout and installation, installation of lighting fixtures, and installation of electrical equipment; conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to observe construction progress and assist in preparing field observation reports, final inspections, punch lists, and certificates of substantial completion.br br Requires Bachelor of Architecture 5 yr or foreign equivalent plus 2 years of experience to include participating and assisting in predesignplanning and all design phases of private residential design, multistory mixeduse housing, highrise residential, corporatecommercial, retail, corporate interiors, institutional buildings, including new construction, renovation, interiors, tenant improvement, parking garage, and unit plans; setting up meetings with client representatives for presentations and workshops, analysis of goals and needs; collecting, organizing and analyzing programming data including site information, building codes, zoning ordinances, and project budgets and schedules; developing space planning concepts and generating program documents based on clients functional and spatial requirements; conducting site reconnaissance and investigations, and developing site design alternative studies; integrating projects into urban context, responsive to prevailing regulatory, environmental and economic conditions; collaborating on concept alternatives, studies and development requiring 3D digital massing, floor plans, space plans, building elevations, sections and perspectives; designing exterior envelope as well as interior finishing requiring enlarged plans, elevations, sections, details and axonometric drawings; preparing client and public presentations, workshops and meetings, using 2D3D CAD and building information modeling programs such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, and VRay, analysis and computer skills to develop 3D building computer models and images, and presentation images; developing documents for all design phases, schematic design through construction documents including documenting architectural plans, elevations, and details in metric standards for jurisdictional agency corrections using 2D3D modeling using Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and related BIM, 2D and 3D Modeling software; producing design documentation and presentations with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, and freehand sketching; building physical models using digital fabrication software, and laser cutter; organizing, filing and distributing documents; working in the continued improvement and development of highperformance design to maintain and improve the quality and consistency of design environment and deliverables; preparing and incorporating weather data analysis to identify passive design potential based on the local climate and building use to minimize building energy needs and maximize the energy savings; preparing building energy models and daylight simulation; Cont. in K.
