Six years of experience supervising staff as well as all aspects of preparation of zoo animal diet nutrition including the sourcing of the raw ingredients, inspection, preparation of food, as well as supervision of staff to ensure sanitary conditions. All experience can be gained in same 6 year period.br br H.6 has been answered quot;noquot; because while experience in job offered Animal ScientistNutritionist would be acceptable, it is not required.br br H.10B Any job title or related occupation similar to Animal ScientistNutritionist such as Zoo Nutritionist, Head Zoo Nutritionist, Operations Coordinator, etc. is acceptable as long as required experience was gained.br br Marion Zoological develops manufactures specialty, lifeenriching foods for rare endangered species of animals, as well as domesticated farm and pet animals, including special supplemental diets for leaf eaters e.g. primates, elephants, giraffes, and sloths, reptiles, birds, insects, others such as the Giant Panda. Once a food or supplement is developed, it is submitted to the Nutritional Advisory Group NAG which is the animal nutritional oversight committee of the AZA Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Our successes include the AZA Animal Care Manuals Giant Panda; Red Panda; Colobus Monkey; Gorilla, and Toucans.br br Ms. Geraldine Nidasio is well qualified for the position. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Univ of San Carlos, Guatemala that has been evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. Bachelors degree in Animal SciencesAnimal Husbandry. Ms. Nidasio has more than 6 years of experience where she was responsible for formulating nutritional diets to meet the nutritional needs of more than 120 different species at top tier institutions. She also has more than 6 years of experience supervising staff as well as all aspects of preparation of zoo animal diet nutrition including the sourcing of the raw ingredients, inspection, preparation of food, as well as supervision of staff to ensure sanitary conditions.br br This position is required to develop nutritional feed and supplements for a range of exotic zoo animals for zoos others, as well as understand how storage, preparation feeding process by staff might impact animal nutrition. The 6 years of experience as Zoo Nutritionist, Head Zoo Nutritionist Operations Coordinator where the person is responsible for formulating nutritional diets to meet the nutritional needs of more than 120 different species at a top tier institution provides a wide range of nutritional experiences across many different exotic zoo species throughout their lifereproductive cycles. This experience helps to diagnose nutritional issues across different species and determine what options to meet nutrition needs. In addition, the Animal ScientistNutritionist needs 6 years of experience on how to direct staff because staff handling, feeding, storage of feed supplements impacts nutrition feed value. Feed prepared improperly is feed the animal will not eat. Feed stored improperly loses nutritional value. Feed improperly delivered can also impact nutrition sanitation. The six years of experience supervising staff provides the understanding for how nutrition can be impacted by staff which is part of the NAG and client advice.
