CEVA Freight, LLC CEVA is a global logistics and supply chain company in both freight management and contract logistics. This position is not an entrylevel position but a senior role, requiring extensive experience to program software for a largescale multitier application development environment such as ours, which is an integral part of maintaining and growing our operations. She must have progressive experience and knowledge in Web Application Development with SQL, JavaEE, and Software Technologies such as RESTful and SOAP Web Services. She must apply this experience and knowledge to troubleshoot and work through issues with the JavaEE platform and to evaluate technical issues and provide resolutions in a timely and efficient manner, as well as modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. She must also be skilled in Data Modeling, Database Design, and Software Design Patterns to design and develop software applications to be used in our infrastructure, and develop software that will further optimize our existing system. She must use and apply knowledge in Agile Methodologies and Scrum Framework and SDLC gained through professional experience to collaborate with engineering team for Agile software development, as well as work with crossfunctional teams to develop Agile software to improve system efficiency and productivity. She must further be skilled in Software Design Patterns and SDLC to develop automated testing to build stable products and software system testing, and validation procedures to achieve high quality of our work product. In addition, she must be skilled in Software Technologies such as RESTful and SOAP Web Services to maintain high software quality by creating clean code, and further analyze system issues and deliver solutions within time and budget and possess. Without a theoretical background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related, gained through the completion of at least a bachelors degree, the applicant would not have the requisite foundational knowledge required of this position. This academic knowledge must be combined with a minimum of 60 months of experience in an occupation related to Software Development in Logistics and Exports Industry, as our Sr. IT Systems Engineer must utilize such handson, realworld experience and knowledge of industry practices and use of operating systems, tools, and protocols, in order to perform the sophisticated duties of this position. In fact, each required skill is directly related to the duties to be performed. The applications, skills, and technologies used to perform the job are extremely complex and integral to the wellbeing of CEVA. Therefore, we have determined that the job duties and minimum requirement of a bachelors degree and 60 months of experience bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation in the context of our business, and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner.
