This position requires a Bachelors degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Physics, or related quantitative field and 7 years of work experience in Software Engineering or SoftwareSystems Development. Also must have work experience with 1. C, C, C#, and MSSQL to design and implement applications such as protocol drivers and other features used for processing data and commands exchanged between SCADA system and Remote Terminal Units RTUs or Programmable Logic Controllers PLCs in the field; 2. SQL Server, Sybase, Sybase DB Admin, and UNIX Tools to store Gas and Liquid Measurement system tables and Electronic Flow Measurement history data retrieved from field devices and to configure data polled from or sent to field devices; 3. Control systems SCADA, specifically telecommunication, protocols, RTU functionality to work with SCADA systems, developing software features based on user requirements or technical specifications, system testing and delivery, investigating and fixing issues, as well as interacting with clients for requirement analysis, coengineering, or for proposing solutions; 4. Gas and Liquids industry, specifically process control systems, to understand the design and operation of SCADA systems, for better serving clients business requirements and for integrating thirdparty software with the SCADA system; 5. Providing technical consultation on Gas Measurement technology, especially the area of protocols to solve problems encountered in software implementation or operation, integration with hardware, or in working with Sale Teams in assessing user requirements and available solutions; and 6. Client support and technical training to earn better customer satisfaction and to determine best solutions to technical issues that arise from software bugs, misconfiguration, or new use cases.
