Experience must include eighteen months of assessing global employment tax compliance exposure and recommending actions to mitigate risks while suggesting superior internal controls; advising on taxcompensation plans for expansions, restructures, mergers and acquisitions and assessing clients stock option plans and the impact on U.S. payroll reporting; representing clients in tax controversies including tax audits and assessments; assisting in extensive research and drafting of Federal and State regulations regarding payroll taxations for international business travelers, and educating both external and internal audiences on various tax technical topics; advising on individual income tax issues pertaining to expatriates and foreign nationals, tax compliance in jurisdictions outside of the US, and the tax equalization process, and applying taxation concepts to social security implications associated with international assignments; determining foreign countries tax reporting requirements in relation to U.S. tax law reporting events and applying revenue code sections and income tax treaties to host country tax laws for the expatriate, inpatriate, and locally hired employee population; analyzing assignment data through software to provide information for cost analysis, geographic analysis, and future planning, advising on home and host country tax implications, coordinating with relocation vendors and local payroll, and conducting predeparture orientation and repatriation meetings with clients from a US tax perspective; mentoring junior staff and interns and collaborating with both on and offshore teams on the compliance process workflow; utilizing tax research tools, including BNA and CCH to provide tax compliance and consulting services to global business travelers and utilizing tax software, including CCH Axcess and Global fx, to compute taxes, conduct research and integrate with internal tracking tools; and advising clients on international assignment policies and inquiries, and assisting clients with exception requests by providing information on related additional costs and taxes through use of historical data and policy perspective.br From H.10B consulting multinational businesses on global talent mobility strategies from perspectives of taxation, compensation, rewards, benefits, technology, and employee experience.
