Specific Skills

Candidates must possess, at minimum, a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related. All candidates must also possess knowledge, as evidenced by passing a basic technical proficiency test, of four of the five following subject matter areas 1 FPGA theory, design, development, simulation, testing and verification with VHDL and RTL; 2 VHDL and RTL theory, design, and application; 3 high speed signal interface and SERDESSerializationDeserialization communication design and application; 4 firmware documentation procedures including software requirement specifications, design documentation, prototype development, and functional tests; and 5 electric schematic diagrams, including the ability to read, understand, and apply schematics. Note All candidates for all engineering positions at SEL must pass a basic technical proficiency test. Candidates must also be willing to comply with the companys DrugFree and TobaccoFree policies.
