Two years of experience is required in each of the followingbr 1. Evaluate component temperature, mode shapes, displacements, strainsstresses, wear and fatigue life.br 2. Develop specialized computational tools and methods to aid in the Design and Validation processes DVPR.br 3. Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical product and systems based on statics, frequency, and motionload dynamics.br 4. Perform numerical computations using modeling and simulation of mechanical components and systems to determine dynamic performance.br 5. Aid in design decisions based on numerical predictions of structural and acoustic performance of mechanical components and systems.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with AAM, responsible in part for performing structural stress and fatigue CAE analysis of AAM drivetrain systemcomponents to provide guidance for improving structural design validation DVPR; performing passenger car PTU, RDM and eDrive housing topology optimization to improve the stiffness and NVH target while reducing the total mass and improving the overall fuel economy of AAM products; performing PTU, RDM and eDrive assembly mobility and acoustic analysis to improve AAMs mechanical components and systems; and supporting modeling and simulation of driveline and engine products by developing physicsbased, highfidelity multibody dynamic models. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable engineering concepts and issues, a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent education, and 2 years of experience working in the automotive field, is required, as the position involves using specialized numerical computation tools such as MSCADAMS, AVLExcite, and MatLab to evaluate product performance, identify risks, and provide design recommendation.
