PhD. In statistics or related field with proven interest in applications; demonstrated excellence in research, teaching; consulting, and qualifications necessary to hold a tenure track academic rank in the department. Capability to develop a nationally and internationally recognized program of externally funded research with the expectation that they will disseminate their research findings. Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of professional developments related to area of expertise; provide leadership in independent and collaborative research; leadership in service to the community by being engaged in activities such as peer review, service on academic and scholarly committees, and participation in professional societies.br This is a joint teaching and research position between LSU College of Agriculture with instruction and consulting responsibilities 70 and LSU Agricultural Center with research functions 30. Louisiana State University and the LSU Agricultural Center maintain stateof the art research facilities and faculty have access to extensive infrastructure and collaborative opportunities within the department and across campus.br PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Interest in spatial statistics, bioinformatics, data mining or other modern applied statistical methods. Postdoctoral or other experience beyond the PhD is ideal. Experience is highly desired with online and flexible teaching, and experiential learning; ability to build collaborations of high impact; ability to be highly effective in a diverse, interdisciplinary, collaborative, high performance work environment; ability to work effectively and collegially with university administrators, faculty, staff, and students; and ability to engage in effective verbal and written communication; effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
