Doctoral degree should be from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work GADE or similar. ABD candidates in social work will be considered but applicant must provide documentation of degree conferral prior to the start date of employment. MSW degree from a CSWE or similarly accredited social work program is also required.br br The employer accepts other job titles, provided it is postMSW, fulltime practice experience. The parttime equivalent of 2 years fulltime practice experience will be considered.br br Demonstrated successful teaching at graduate andor undergraduate level. Demonstrated scholarly contribution. Demonstrated willingness and ability to work with culturally diverse and underrepresented populations as well as a commitment to social justice. Demonstrated willingness and ability to contribute in the areas of outreach and service to the department, college, university, profession, and community. Candidates for faculty positions should be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively educate and empower a diverse student population. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check as required by Kansas Board of Regents policy.br br Preferred Qualifications State licensure at the MSW level or demonstrated willingness to secure Kansas MSW licensure within two years of appointment. Demonstrated willingness and ability to teach in core Social Work curricular areas in practice and policy courses. Demonstrated willingness and ability to conduct research and seek and secure grant funding. The School will consider candidates who can complement current research agendas as well as expand into new areas of inquiry. Demonstrated willingness and ability to use relevant technologies in teaching, research, curriculum development, and instructional design with the willingness to teach across the curriculum. Demonstrate experience with applied education and the integration of communitybased teaching.
