Specific Skills

Fluency in the Japanese language is required to fulfill the duties of this position. The majority of the companys clients approximately 90 consist of Japanese companies in the financial, importexport, manufacturing and hospitality industries, who require our assistance in designing and maintaining their Enterprise Resource Planning ERP networks and systems. These companies often have bilingual systems and programs both in Japanese and English, as they serve both Japanese and English speaking customers in the U.S. When our ERP Systems Administrator provides technical support and consultations in Japanese to perform network maintenance, systems management and integration functions, she must be able to understand Japanese as the relevant data are both in Japanese and English. Our ERP Systems Administrator also needs to communicate with our clients in Japanese in order to accurately identify their IT business management needs to advise and provide the most effective service, especially ERP solutions for the clients operations. In addition, the ERP Systems Administrator must confer with other engineers within SYSCOM as well as with engineers within client companies to identify and resolve ERP related issues and continue to provide technical guidance for clients in Japanese. In other words, an ERP Systems Administrator who cannot communicate, read and write in fluent Japanese will not be able to effectively perform the duties described at Item #H11 above.
