This must include 1 year of experience in each of the followingbr br 1. Perform experiments on, and postprocess results from constant volume combustion vessels, and optical engines;br 2. Develop and implement highspeed laser optical diagnostics used for the interpretation of engine combustion physics;br 3. Develop postprocessing algorithms and optimization tools to evaluate high speed recordings, by combining physicsbased models and large data digital image filtering methods, utilizing Matlab, Python, and LabView;br 4. Definition of heavyduty engine and aftertreatment architectures to meet current and future regulatory requirements based on combined experimental and simulation proof of concepts; andbr 5. Create and implement new tools and facilities for dedicated and isolated engine friction, air path, and single cylinder research engine combustion system optimization, including complete test rig development, simulation tool integration, testing, Design of Experiments DoE, data analysis, and postprocessing algorithm development.br br This must also include 6 months of experience with electrified hybrid powertrain definitiondevelopment and HDpowertrain component selection and optimization, using vehicle drivecycle simulations and detailed engine, emotor, battery system, eHVAC, powertrain component modelling and experimental test rig validation.br br Experience may be gained concurrently.
