Experience must include one year of monitoring client sources of potential security incidents, health alerts with monitored solutions and requests for information, including monitoring of realtime channels or dashboards, periodic reports, email inboxes, helpdesk or other ticketing system, telephone calls, and chat sessions; validating security alerts and determining needed mitigation actions to follow client and incidentspecific procedures to perform Level 1 Triage of potential security incidents; escalating potential security incidents to client Incident Handlers, recommending response actions, countermeasures, and operational improvements; preparing accurate incident investigation notes in case management system, documenting daily happenings in shift logs, writing incident summaries and incident handling recommendations and creating incident briefs and supporting investigation to mitigate the current threat and prevent future occurrences; improving clients security monitoring posture by identifying and correcting issues or gaps in knowledge analysis procedures, playbooks, clientspecific environment nuances, false positive tuning, identifying and recommending new or updated tools, content, countermeasures, and automation; assisting tier 2 analysts with Security information and event management SIEM technology, utilizing security technologies, including IDSIPS, Data Loss Prevention DLP, Proxy, Web Application Firewall WAF, Endpoint detection and response EDR, AntiVirus, Sandboxing, network and host based firewalls, Threat Intelligence, and Penetration Testing ; assisting with assessment of possible attack activities including network probing scanning, DDOS, and malicious code activity; utilizing common network devices, including routers and switches; and performing basic networking protocols, including TCPIP, DNS, and HTTP.
