Position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, as a Sr. Catastrophe Modeling Analyst, or similar catastrophe modeler or analyst position. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following catastrophe modeling using valid data inputs for Cat models; catastrophe modeling within the international market; Preparing Catastrophe Loss Reports for Reinsurance and Risk Management teams; working with Risk Exposure Data Store; running Cat models to produce optimal outputs; understanding the model output; RMS catastrophe modeling software; analyzing gross and net expected losses from both deterministic and stochastic disaster scenarios; reporting on loss data metrics generated from catastrophe models for use in claims assessments and analysis of risk transfer to reinsurance companies; monitoring adherence to capacity allocations against actual gross and net Probable Maximum Losses; developing pivot tables and macros in Microsoft Excel; querying and maintaining relational databases using SQL. Must also have 3 years of experience with advising nontechnical audience on catastrophe modeling assumptions and results and providing guidance to business decisionmakers on catastrophe exposure drivers Additionally, must have 2 years of experience developing and managing catastrophe modeling tools to enhance accuracy in the of individual accounts in an insurance portfolio. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S. and internationally. Option to work remotely.
