Specific Skills

Candidates must possess, at minimum, a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electric Power Systems Engineering, or related. All candidates must also possess knowledge, as evidenced by passing a basic technical proficiency test, of all four of the following subject matter areas 1 electric power and industrialutility system protection, control, integration and automation philosophies, practices, applications, and associated protocols; 2 life cycle planning, development, production and market positioning for product lines, including enhancements and obsolescence for specific products; 3 protective relay engineering theory, operation, and application at an electric utility, industrial plant or engineering firm; and 4 theory, design, and operation of networks for symmetrical component calculations. Note All candidates for all engineering positions at the company must pass a basic technical proficiency test.
