Position requiresbr 1 5 years of mechanical design experience creating 3D models using SolidWorks, including the creation of component and assembly drawings, and ensuring design meets established safety and performance standards;br 2 5 years of experience in product development, including the following performing iterations of product prototyping, concept development, preliminary functional testing, VOC activity, design for production and cost reduction, root cause investigation, writing technical reports and documentation Test Methods, Risk Assessment, Design Inputoutput Matrix, designing verification and validation, and transfer to production;br 3 5 years of experience conducting bench testing, Design of Experiments DOE, and statistical analyzing of the test data using either Minitab, or, MATLAB software;br 4 5 years of experience with stack up analysis for mechanical tolerance and error budget for critical measurements;br 5 5 years of experience acting as an interface between external vendors and customers to the core team;br 6 5 years of experience utilizing technical skills to drive product specification from customer needs developed by marketing, including the quantitative and qualitative design specifications to an engineering level of detail;br 7 5 years of experience working with engineering and shop personnel to resolve design problems, and interacting with customers to perform troubleshooting;br 8 5 years of experience presenting project work across management levels and to customers;br 9 3 years of experience building simulations and models of product functions and expected performance using at least one of the following software MATLAB, SOLIDWORKS, COMSOL, or, ANSYS;br 10 3 years of experience with Data Acquisition, Sensors, and Transducers;br 11 2 years of experience providing technical mentorship to less experienced engineers and technicians; and,br 12 2 years of experience compiling relevant scientific literature and standards, and writing scientific publications or invention disclosure patent submission.br br Some travel up to 5 may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and internationally.
