cont. from H.11 develop designs and prepare graphics, drawings, design presentations and reports using AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Rhino, Vray, SketchUp, Revit BIM, Sustainability tools, Adobe Suite, Affinity Suite, and freehand sketching in pencil, ink, color pencil, and markers; create and prepare design presentations to clients and agencies with jurisdiction over projects; coordinate information, deliverables, and other input with client representatives for project approvals; work closely with Principals, Directors and Senior DesignersPlanners in preparing design concepts, concept development, and preparation of final plans; produce construction documents and entitlement plans; coordinate with a multitude of external team members and consultants including international model makers and rendering consultants, local architects, planners, government agencies and officials, and local consultants, including economic, traffic, civil engineering, and marketingbranding consultants; coordinate with civil, landscape, code, parking, lighting, zoning, signage, and waste management consultants to incorporate engineering systems into unified design for client and agency review and approval; coordinate project data and transmission and all electronic communications utilizing project information management software; assist the project manager in establishing task schedule and manpower requirements consistent with the project agreement; coordinate and develop the companys planning team resource library.br br Requires Masters degree in Planning or foreign equivalent plus coursework, internships, or experience to include designing and coordinating planning and urban design projects in all phases of local and national urban design and master planning projects including new mixed use, urban infill development, mixed use regeneration, urban revitalization, corporate campuses, university campus, industrial, corporatecommercial office complexes, streetscapes, commercial corridor, transitoriented development and open space planning projects; participating in all phases of a wide range types of projects, including concept master plans, comprehensive plans, detailed master plans, visioning plan, land use planning, feasibility studies, choice neighborhood initiatives, and entitlements; facilitating programming meetings with clients, specialty consultant groups and all design disciplines to formulate and develop master planning and development programs; facilitating vision and goal setting sessions with clients, project stakeholder groups, and the general community through small and largescale engagement events and activities, such as working groups, open houses, and focus groups; coordinating with architects to bring planning projects into SDDDCD phases; conducting site reconnaissance, site investigations, real estate analysis, and site selection using GIS; preparing urban design guidelines for various project scales and types; researching codes and compliance; researching local and global case studies and precedents to inform the client and establish project benchmarks; collecting, analyzing, and translating clients functional and spatial requirements into feasible design solutions; preparing and organizing detailed program area tabulations, phasing, dwelling units, population, and other development metrics including, FAR, coverage, GSF, NSF, and parking ratios; coordinating input from multiple partners and consultants to translate into site plans, drawings, and diagrams; incorporating sustainable design andor LEED principles into site planning and master plans; analyzing sketches, photographs, notes, and site survey of existing conditions other input material to document existing conditions and guide the design process;cont.
