Using SACMI to create ceramic tiles of various sizes.br 2. Application of glazes and engobes to achieve desired effect, including modifying engobes and glazes through the adjustment of oxides for coloring, materials to develop different finishes, and required raw materials to make a glaze shiny or matte.br 3. Digital printing using systems ceramics digital printers.br 4. Three stages of the ceramics firing process prefiring, firing and rapid cooling and the modification of these to affect the firing time, caliber, absorption and strength of the ceramics material.br 5. Polishing tile and slabs with different types of stones and different grits to achieve desired effect.br 6. Cutting and squaring ceramic tile using both dry and wet cutting methods.br 7. Applying ISO quality standards, including editing and reviewing department operating manuals and procedures in preparation for ISO inspection.br 8. Applying global reporting initiative GRI standards.br 9. Using mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment, including presses, dryers, conveyor lines, and loading belt systems; and installation and renewal of single and multiple ceramic machinery.br 10. Using and troubleshooting SACMI presses and dryers used in pressing ceramic tiles, as well as punches, dies and grids.br 11. Press, glazing and firing process, including line setup, production changes and machine troubleshooting in the plant.br 12. Production of large porcelain panels 5ft by 10ft with thickness ranging from 6mm to 20mm.br 13. Slab creation phase using SACMI compactor Continuaplus and making machinespecific adjustments to modify denseness, thickness and slab size.br 14. Creating various finishes in the ceramic production process, including honed, polish and satin.br 15. Calculating machine settings, including calculating percentage of shrinkage, pressing density, and deformations after kiln firing including square of the piece, trapeze effect, lunette and planarity.br 16. Training and managing department employees within the production environment, including planning and prioritizing schedules.
