Must have a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering or foreign equivalent, and 2 years of experience. Qualifying experience must be as an Engineer or substantially similar position performing the following responsible for design fit, function, and manufacturing feasibility for the manufacture of engine and powertrain components, hot end exhaust, fuel rails, and GR systems; gather and define customers requirements and prepare internal requirement manual IRM; work with purchasing department and external suppliers to identify capabilities and technical assessments of their ability to produce components; perform controls feasibility, conduct design FMEAs, develops dimensioning concepts, conduct tolerance investigations, supports value analysis and develop concepts for cost reductions; create technical documents for cost estimation, complete work packages to support technical reviews with customers, secure milestone approvals in internal PLM system; utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GDT for design and measurement, integrate DFMDFA principles into the design, and assess costs and timing implications of design alternatives; and collaborate with CAD team and utilize 3D CAD design software, UGNX and Catia.
