The Full Stack Web Developer develops application testing procedures in our Rails apps, as well as other app languages flexML, Javascript, spider monkey. The FBS Full Stack Web Developer must write clearly on technical issues and work with a team. Responsibilities include writing and editing code in Ruby, Rails, HTML, JS and Flexmls. Learning new code bases, as required, is also necessary. Applying systemslevel development is needed to consider the impact of new and changed code on the entire system and also creating sustainable code and systems for future maintenance and improvements is required.br DOL classifies this position in the software developer, applications category. That classification is described by DOL develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs; analyze user needs and develop software solutions; design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency; may analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team; may supervise computer programmers.br From the classification, DOL recognizes a bachelors degree and 2 years work experience as normal preparation. FBS, though, requires the additional year of work experience based on business necessity.br The FBS Full Stack Web Developers are not working in general computer applications software, but instead FBS developers build and improve the nationallyrecognized Flexmls. As a result, this means writing and editing code in specific code languages such as Ruby, Rails, HTML, JS and Flexmls, for which the general DOL classification is not likely referencing. A significant part of working with Flexmls is working in legacy code. Based on business necessity, FBS Full Stack Web Developers are not working in general computer applications software and competency for this position requires the noted additional year of experience.br Further, FBS Full Stack Web Developers also take the additional step of assessing the utility of todays work for the future of the system. Other software developers, as described by DOL, are unlikely to be taking this approach. FBS serves real estate professionals, a niche industry. The FBS development team works together to serve our clients.br The 36 months of experience, in addition to a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, is essential for our team members to advance FBS business interested in the niche market area of real estate. Our developers serve a specific market with contentrich requirements appearing on the Flexmls.br The nature of our business requires 36 months of work experience, and that time must include a year of development in Ruby on Rails. This requirement is distinct to our business need and quite distinguishable from DOLs standard classification for a software developer, applications, which may work in development for other varied industries.
