Must have a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in chemical engineering, mathematics, or a related field, plus 3 years progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the cement manufacturing industry. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following analyzing and interpreting technical procedures, engineering and chemistry documentation, and governmental regulations; writing production reports, procedure manuals, and training manuals related to the cement manufacturing industry; manipulating and interpreting advanced mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, chemistry and advanced engineering formulae; resolving complex problems involving cost, chemistry, process, engineering, environmental impacts, and maintenance; interpreting instructions and data in written, oral, diagram, visual, and schedule form to observe equipment condition and operation; experience in utilizing software, including Microsoft Office, PI, CAD, and SAP; designing kiln operational methods for optimizing clinker production; developing performance audits on kilns, raw mills, and finish mills for cement processes; optimizing raw material mix used in cement production and meeting quality cement requirements; and monitoring and adjusting cement production equipment to comply with environmental regulations.
