Bachelors degree in marine engineering, marine engineering technology or a similar field of study foreign equivalent degree accepted; or the equivalence to completion of a Bachelors degree based on education andor experiencetraining; plus 3 years of experience in marine engineering or related occupation in the marine industry. In addition, must also have 3 years of project management experience can be obtained concurrently with marine industry experience. Proficient in Metal fabrication, welding, engine component design, technical support repair and troubleshooting of components and vessel systems, and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Certification CaterpillarCAT factory certified, Caterpillar Certified Marine Analyst CMA, obtained a course certificate in project management, hold a valid passport, and must be eligible to receive the Transportation Worker Identification Credential TWIC Card.
