The position requires a bachelors degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related, PLUS 2 years of experience as an investment banking Analyst, Associate, or related position within the financial industry including leveraged finance, distressed debt, MA, or related; Experience MUST include at least 2 years of each of the following Research experience involving deep fundamental analysis of companies, including detailed assessment of regulatory framework, capital structureongoing funding arrangements and investment merits of receivables and other balance sheet assets as well as assessment of potential transaction structure for possible funding agreements or partnerships, including experience within the following global sectors Retail, Real Estate, Specialty Finance and nonbank lenders including commercial and consumer finance and techenabled lending, Banking and Insurance; Determining and analyzing various alternatives to assess best strategic path for business such as sale of business, bank or financial sponsor funding partnership, sale of assets, strategic investment, other capital raising transaction, etc. and building appropriate financial models and valuations, accordingly; Deep understanding of financial and mathematical models , ability to determine appropriate financial model for each specific investment or transaction, building financial models, operating models, andor forecasting tools, according to the situation e.g., standalone valuations and scenario analysis including precedent transactions, multiples regression analysis, public comparables, discounted cash flow analysis, leveraged buyout analysis, sumoftheparts, accretiondilution analysis, earnings models, models based on Corporate Actions such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, asset sales, spinoffssplitoffs, equity and debt capital raising, funding partnerships, etc.; Assessing companies for investment from different perspectives US and nonUS institutional investors, individuals, corporations, buyside funds and other investment vehicles, etc. to determine appeallikelihood of MA, sale, strategic synergies, other corporate actions etc. and experience identifying issues related to a companys capital structure, and current funding arrangement and its impact on valuation; Working with financial regulations and bank regulatory capital requirements to understand the impacts of various debt and equity instruments as well as their impact on company decisionmaking and investor perception related to value and operational impacts; Extensive experience meeting and speaking with relevant parties company management, banks, buyside investors to elicit information necessary to assess current and future condition of companies based on identified industry and regulatory trends, financial condition, current management, operations and strategy, potential capital raisingfunding transactions, possibility of other outcomes MA, sale of business unit, shareholder activism, etc.; Preparing presentation materials on relevant, identified industry, macroeconomic, regulatory, and other trends, developing defensible forecasts, and competitor and acquisition target profiles, including due diligence of data and information used; and Regularly using CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, and other financial software.
