Candidates must possess, at minimum, a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field as well as 60 months of professional, fulltime, progressively responsible, postbaccalaureate work experience as a Software Engineer, Technical LeadSoftware, or related occupation. All candidates must also possess knowledge, as evidenced by passing a basic technical proficiency test, of all four of the following subject matter areas 1 embedded systems firmware development including realtime firmware design and C and assembly languages; 2 object oriented programming and C ; 3 application of software engineering design principles; and 4 firmware documentation procedures including software requirement specifications, design documentation, and functional tests. Note All candidates for all engineering positions at SEL must pass a basic technical proficiency test. Candidates must also be willing to comply with the companys DrugFree and TobaccoFree policies.
