Fivetran, Inc. Fivetran is a data integration technology company that operates in the highly competitive data connectivity industry. This position is not entrylevel; it is integral to our daily operations. Heshe must be skilled inwith creating high level technical design for use by Software Engineers; designing and implementing pipelines for batch data processing; writing unit tests and integration tests; performing root cause analysis, make architectural decisions for reporting and analytics products to lead project planning, risk analysis, and estimation on data processing pipelines using ETL Extract Load Transform with Java and services developed within Fivetran using Java. The qualified candidate also needs to recruit engineers at various levels with hiring and firing responsibilities, coach engineers to develop their career through regular interaction, devise career growth plans and goals for every engineer, and train new team members to get them up to speed with Fivetrans architecture. Heshe must be skilled inwith designing and developing KPIs and performing root cause analysis to troubleshoot and triage incoming customer issues to guide engineers on the team to take best decisions in making resolutions and manage escalations and ensure the teams do not remain blocked on issues. Heshe must be skilled inwith designing and implementing pipelines for batch data processing to lead sprint planning, retrospective meetings, and escalation management for the team. Heshe must be skilled inwith designing and developing KPIs to manage and review performance of Engineering teams. Heshe must have skills inwith making architectural decisions for reporting and analytics products to engage and contribute to design and code reviews. Due to the nature of the position and our business, it is critical that heshe be skilled inwith all of the above skill requirements in order to effectively represent Fivetran in hiring expos and events and supervise Software Engineering teams to develop and test software systems. Without a theoretical background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Software, Engineering including Medical Electronics, or related, gained through a Bachelors degree, the applicant would not have the foundation in engineering and computer science required for the role. The knowledge must be combined with at least 60 months of experience in Software Design and Code Quality to demonstrate heshe has handson, realworld experience to perform the duties required. Each required skill directly relates to the duties to be performed. The applications and systems used to perform the job are extremely complex and integral to the wellbeing of Fivetran. Therefore, we have determined that the job duties and minimum requirement of a bachelors degree and 60 months of experience bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation in the context of our business and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner.
