Cont. from H.11 coordinate with Project Architect and general contractor and represent the firm to obtain approvals from clients and state and local agencies having jurisdiction over projects, ensure all documentation for construction permits are filed with the appropriate agencies, and all approvals are received prior to closing the project; perform necessary consultancy of drawings and specifications as construction projects progress and changes in dimensions, materials, and other aspects of design arise from client, agency or public input; respond to requests for information RFIs and review and respond to contractor change orders, including conformance budgets and payments; issue drawings and specifications in accordance with Operations procedures; assist the Technical Director with Quality Control reviews of other projects in the office at all phases and provide commentsfeedback to the project teams to ensure they meet with firmwide standards for project delivery; apply architectural principles to review all related shop drawings, samples and mock ups; conduct site visits, field observation and meetings to review the progress of construction; organize, file and distribute documents utilizing Filezilla and Newforma software.br br Requires Bachelor of Architecture 5 year or foreign equivalent plus 2 years of experience to include producing clear and compelling design presentations for competitions and international multistory mixed use and largescale commercial projects including new construction, renovation, tenant improvement and parking garage; analyzing client needs and utilizing independent thinking and 2D3D CAD and building information modeling programs, including Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Grasshopper, SketchUp, Layout, Rhino, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Vray, Microsoft Office Package, and freehand sketching to develop design concepts and refine them into design solutions; meeting with client representatives for presentations and workshops, analysis of goals and needs, developing programmed space spreadsheets, narrative summaries, room data sheets, adjacency diagrams, graphic content, and preparing meeting minutes; developing site design alternative studies requiring site plans, site sections, 3D digital massing and physical site modeling; strategizing with Client, project team and consultants to set goals for sustainability and energy conservation, applying all major technical concepts to develop design and details for sustainability and energy conservation; researching and selecting materials, equipment, and systems to meet the budget for the project, keeping local construction techniques in mind for international projects; developing concept alternatives, studies and development requiring 3D digital massing, floor plans, space plans, building elevations, sections and perspectives; developing exterior envelope design requiring enlarged plans, elevations, sections, details and axonometric drawings; researching international building codes and regulations, collecting data, and writing reports and presentations to incorporate research and data into architectural designs; applying own judgment, analysis and computer skills to develop 3D building computer models and images, and presentation images; developing and producing detail working drawings, including documenting architectural plans, elevations, sections and analysis diagrams; participating in meetings with clients, consultants, and public agencies on a given project; coordinating with mechanical, electrical, plumbing MEP, structural, landscape, curtainwall system, signage, lighting, transportation system, and fire consultants to incorporate engineering systems into unified design for client and agency review and approval; Cont. in K.
