Position requires a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Development, Formulation Development, Statistics, Materials Science or a related field plus one 1 year of postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent and three 3 years of postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include the followingbr br Demonstrable knowledge of pharmaceutical and engineering principles in solid dosage form development;br Demonstrable experience with formulation techniques, processing equipment, and unit operations at laboratory scale;br Demonstrable math skills, particularly as applied to materialenergy balances and intermediate applied statistical analysis and modeling;br Demonstrable experience with good lab documentation practices, technical writing and data analysis skills;br Demonstrable understanding of physical chemistry and material properties;br Demonstrable understanding of Quality by Design QbD;br Demonstrable experience characterizing and analyzing a range of dosage forms, including liquids, solids e.g. powders and oral tablets, and formulation development of poorly soluble compounds;br Demonstrable experience managing the scaleup and manufacturing of solid oral dosage forms internally with ability to apply computational modeling to support scale up and manufacturing;br Demonstrable ability to apply the principles of the basic sciences, such as physical and organic chemistry, thermodynamics, and materials science to preformulation and formulation development, using a rational, scientific approach;br Demonstrable experience with GLP.
