Position requires a PhD degree or foreign equivalent in microbiology, food science or a related field and 5 years of experience in a food microbiology laboratory. Alternatively, Position requires a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in microbiology, food science or a related field and 7 years of experience in a food microbiology laboratory.br Experience must include Microbiological analysis including conventional and rapid automation methods for the detection of pathogens, spoilage and hygiene indicators PCR, Elisa and Petrifilm; sterility test by conventional and rapid destructive and nondestructive methods; ensuring products and processes are compliant with industry safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices GMPs and Good Laboratory Practices GLPs; Product development project management including leading cross functional teams; compliance with HACCP, FSSC22000, FSMA or similar compliance guidelines; and communicating complex scientific concepts and research findings through written reports, scientific publications, and presentations.br Must also have an FDA approved certificate in Better Process Control. Must also have experience applying knowledge of technical and scientific technologies including MALDITOF, TLDAS or similar; utilizing I2L system; and microbiological analysis including enumeration of spore former microorganisms, identification techniques to support sterility troubleshooting and challenge test.br Must be able to travel internationally and domestically approximately 35 of working time and work at various unanticipated locations throughout the US. Experience may be gained concurrently.br br For J.12. Ms. Dory Worcman Barninka received a Titulo de Doutor in 2003 from University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. This degree has been evaluated to be the equivalent to a US Doctor of Philosophy degree in Food Science, which is substantially similar to the required degree field for this role.
