Position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in AKTA FPLC purification systems; size exclusion chromatography; affinitybased purification and chromatography including protein A, and either nickel beads or columns; ionexchange chromatography including Qsepharose and CaptoS columns; and GMP experience including creation and maintenance of batch records, quality control and assurance, endotoxin assessment and purification of vaccines and viral clearance assays. 2 years of experience in Western blot immunoassay; and SDS Page Protein Gels. 1 year of experience in growth, maintenance, and transfections of mammalian suspension and adhesive cell lines; DNA gene cloning and DNA gels; PCR sitedirected mutagenesis; and expression of proteins in bacteria host systems. Position also requires working knowledge of the following EnzymeLinked ImmunoaSsAy ELISA; Wyatt Dynamic Light Scattering systems; autosamplers for size exclusion chromatography; Surface Plasmon Resonance; Negative Stain electron microscopy for assessing homogeneity of protein samples; PyMOL structural analysis; and lectin affinity chromatography.
