Requires an associates or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or a related engineering field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience installing and assembling power transformers and vacuum and oil processing transformers. Also requires 2 years of experience assisting with repairs for shell or core form transformer designs and components; creating reports and spreadsheets in Microsoft Office and email correspondence in Microsoft Outlook; conducting maintenance and inspection of load tap changers; operating vacuum oil processors; supervising and leading crews; performing internal inspections of transformers; regasketing connections on transformers; performing field testing for transformer turns ratio TTR, winding resistance, and insulation resistance; and performing functional testing of control cabinets. In lieu of an associates degree as stated, employer will accept 3 years of experience as stated above. Up to 100 travel required. Employee reports to company office in St. Louis, MO, but may work from any location in the U.S. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
