Design, development, component selection, evaluation, and installation of machine controls hardware.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with AAM, responsible in part for the design and troubleshooting of AB Rockwell Controllogix hardware and software PLCs with an emphasis on producedconsumed tags, messaging instructions and InputsOutputs; the design and troubleshooting of AB Rockwell SLCPLC5 platform hardware and software; troubleshooting using Siemens Step 7 or TIA Portal; troubleshooting and design of EthernetIP topology using Hirschmann software; maintaining communication with skilled trades to assure implementation of projects; providing technical assistance on problems in maintenance areas including hydraulics, pneumatics, wiring, and Windows PCs; maintain and troubleshoot plant Scada System and traceability issues; support the development, installation, and startup of new and rebuilt equipment in accordance with AAM specifications; verifying control specifications for hardwaresoftware utilizing knowledge of NEC and ANSI codes; and design and maintenance of electrical schematics using Autocad. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable engineering concepts and issues, a Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or foreign equivalent education, and 5 years post baccalaureate progressive experience working in Controls Engineering positions in a manufacturing environment, is required, as the position involves providing technical assistance and engineering solutions to manufacturing; working with Hirschmann managed switches and EthernetIP topology; troubleshooting and programming Fanuc robots; working with Autocad; and working with PLC controllers, including AB Rockwell Controllogix and AB Rockwell SLCPLC5.
