Fluency in the Japanese language is required to fulfill the duties of this position. GFM offers a wide selection of New Yorkstyle jewelry and accessories to Japanese customers in Japan. GFM Company, GFMs parent company in Japan, has an online shop on Rakuten, Japans largest Ecommerce website. GFMs listing on Rakuten allows the company to market its jewelry products to customers in Japan, which is where almost all if not 100 of GFMs customers are located. Since almost all of GFMs sales come from the Japanese clients living in Japan, all 100 of our marketing platforms such as our website, Yahoo Japan shopping portal and Rakuten Ecommerce portal are developed in Japanese with a Japanese audience in mind. Accordingly, GFMs Graphic Designers must must utilize various graphic design software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark Xpress and Flash MX to produce online marketing layouts targeting the Japan market and create promotional content written in Japanese. In addition, she must communicate with marketing teams in Japan to develop graphics and draft overall website design proposals in Japanese and English. In other words, because GFMs Graphic Designer will use Japanese on a daily basis, it would be extremely difficult for a Graphic Designer to fulfill the duties of this position without complete fluency in written and spoken Japanese. Therefore, fluency in Japanese is an absolute business necessity for the Graphic Designer position in question.
