Specific Skills

Must possess a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field and relevant software development experience. Must possess experience with Java application development; Python scripting; shell scripting and working in a Linux or Unix environment; and SQL development on major database systems like Oracle or SQL Server. Must have coding and configuration experience with Sapio Exemplar LIMS or other major commercial LIMS applications including Nautilus, LabWare or SLIMS; experience developing and optimizing SQL statements for data mining and reporting purposes; creating reports with Tibco Spotfire or similar commercial reporting tools, including Tableau, Cognos or Crystal Reports; understanding and ability to follow Agile systems development Life Cycle; interacting with Biological Lab Technicians and Information Technology personnel to clearly communicate and articulate requirements and resolve issues; and working with version control systems, Object Oriented Concepts, W3C Standards, IntelliJ IDE, API, JSON and XML data, Jira and Confluence. Experience can be gained as part of degree program.
