Specific Skills

The position requires an M.D. plus two 2 years of clinical experience. Must be Boardcertifiedeligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Must be eligible for or possess a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia. The position requires any amount of experience in the following skills Experience analyzing and approving any medical or surgical admissions; experience providing emergency room analysis for triage, admission or discharge; experience assessing and authorizing transfers of appropriate patients from outside hospitals to tertiary care center; experience ensuring safe transfer of medically stable patients from various intensive care units ICUs to the general medical floor; experience performing and documenting initial history and physical HP, completing and documenting daily visits, and completing discharge summaries at conclusion of hospital stay for assigned patients; experience identifying change in clinical status that requires transfer to the ICU to escalate care and or for closer supervision; experience participating in CODEMET also termed quot;rapid response teamquot; in other hospitals, evaluating patients with acute change in condition and participating in CODE BLUE resuscitation events when required; experience collaborating with nursing teams in multidisciplinary care of inpatients. Travel required.
