Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Engineering and 12 years of engineering experience, including 8 years of automotive engineering experience. Position also requires 5 years of experience with an automobile manufacturer or automotive Tier1 supplier. 5 years of experience in automotive CAN network development and in each of the following determination of physical system architecture, calculation of CAN traffic and CAN network arbitration, and developing automotivegrade electrical component hardware and software. 5 years of experience creating and managing CAN communication signal tables and performing invehicle functional tests using Vector CANalyzer. Experience negotiating CAN communication technical details among multiple stakeholders, including a successful track record of conflict resolution. Experience in automotive electronics program management, including planning development activities, creating and maintaining schedules, and writing reports. Must hold a valid U.S. drivers license and have ability to drive automobiles for the purposes of functional validation testing. Ability to use common hand tools for removal and installation of electrical components in vehicles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Travel approximately 23 weeks per year to unanticipated domestic and international locations is required.
