The position requires a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Pharmaceutics or a related field plus one 1 year of postbaccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a related position. Experience may be gained as part of a qualifying postgraduate academic program. Experience must include the following Demonstrable expertise with solidstate and mechanical characterization of pharmaceutical materials with an indepth understanding of powder mechanical properties; Demonstrable expertise with tablet compression and mechanical properties; Demonstrable expertise with powder characterization such as flow, particle sizing, surface area and density; Demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical process scaleup and technical transfer; Demonstrable proficiency with various pharmaceutical unit operations such as high shear granulation, roller compaction, compression, fluid bed granulation, blending, milling, tableting and coating; Demonstrable proficiency with authoring and reviewing technical reports, regulatory filings and source documents; Demonstrable technical understanding of various analytical techniques such as differential scanning calorimetry, powder xray diffraction, dissolution, and solubility testing; Demonstrable experience with GMP procedures and proficiency working in GMP environments.
